The History of Light and Dark;

Light and Dark is and Anthropomorphic Manga series that I had started to draw sometime ago in 2003. But when I first started to draw the comic, Jason was the bad-guy and Deon was the hero. The story was exactly the same as it is now, just a few changes with the characters roles and the comic had no name.

I managed to draw the first book, about 20 pages or so not including the front and back covers. This was a triumph for me! I had finally drawn my comic that had been stuck in the back of my mind for a few months! But at that time, my computer was old and outdated, and we could not afford an internet connection. The comic was doomed to stay in my folder never to be read by the world! I would of shown my friends, but they make fun of anyone who reads comic and call them childish! They already made fun of me for drawing Anthro art in the first place.

Then at Christmas 2004, I finally got a good computer! My old Windows 98 was dead and gone in a flash! We also got a 1mb internet connection. Now I could post my comic on the net! But after reading a few comics already up, I realised that my comic was a far cry from good. I just gave up on it, and started to work more on my music production skills.

Now in 2006, I have started my comic off again with a vengeance! New characters, the same well thought out story-line, improved art skills and a better understanding of how to write a more interesting story.

Although at this point in time not many pages are up and I have no fans at all! I am still rather proud that this comic started over three tears ago is finally getting the publicity it deserves!

The Prologue;

In the year 2007, a fierce army of demons attacked our planet Earth. Our planet had little resistance against this army of the damned and for many years afterwards, continued to plague the planet and its inhabitants. This period in the Earth’s history was simply known as the “Dark Years.” People would rather die and burn in hell than live with the even more inhumane torture on their own planet!

But… someone was watching over out planet, this great and powerful force lay dormant for many eons. Only to be called upon in times of great need.

A vicious war ensued, for almost a decade the forces of light and dark battled non-stop for dominance over the planet. As a final resort, the great light used dark magic to finally destroy the demons once and for all! But in doing so, destroyed him-self, he was not strong enough to harness large amounts of dark energy.

Even though the force of light was deceased, the people never forgot about him! But future generations would never know about him or the horrors of the Dark Years. The dark years were stripped from the history books, if you even spoke about the dark years; an immediate death penalty was enforced! The generation that lived the Dark years, called these new times of peace and harmony the “Light Years”.

Now in the year 2099, no one even knows that the dark years even existed. This is what the Dark years generation wanted, a world with peace and harmony, but at the same time, for every-one to play ignorant to the events of the past.

But is playing ignorant really the answer? If no one knows what happened… then how can our planet possibly prepare it-self if it ever happens again?

The answer…

We cannot.
